More info

Create the Susan Shopper bag project while learning how to add beads to your crochet, or if you are already experienced with beads, you can just make the bag and maybe pick up a few beading tips.

Jane used Debbie Abrahams size 6 beads for the project Shade (Shell DA39), but you could use any bead shade. You can view all of our beads here

Booklet forward by Jane:

I have always loved a good bit of bling! Sequinned dresses, velour emroidered fabris and Indian textiles are three of my favourite things on the planet, so adding beads to crochet was something I was eager to learn almost as soon as I first held a hook.

There is nothing complicated or scary about adding beads to a crochet fabric - in fact it is much more straight forward than you think given the fabulous effect they can create. Within this mastercalss I will talk you through how to choose your beads, how to thread them onto your yarn and then how to add them into a variety of stitches.

We do not currently have a kit for this project. The bag uses Rowan Felted Tweed DK and Rowan Baby Silk Merino DK in a total of 7 shades (9 x 50g Balls) and 1 pack of beads.
